Bicol Week-End Express Hopping 1st part (Camarines Norte)

another hitched get-away
may 20-22, 2011 friday to sunday

objective: to visit this best tourist spot and fit to my budget at limited amount of time.
additional tasks: to have this 1st beachineering in calaguas island and 1st look on mayon volcano.

the preparation:
grabbing the outburst of my travel addictness and the opportunity of summer season, planning of calaguas getaway was one of not-so-called spontaneous trip since i just thought of this as gamble adventure, meaning a 50-50 chance possibility. i am very fortunate, once again, to meet mr. yuri and his very kind group and give such a warm accommodation as if we know each other before (my 1st time was with miss mitchie of camiguin).

tricycle top-load experience

we asked our boatman to alight us in pulang-daga beach (daga means soil in bicolano dialect). then another beach background photo-ops presentation. we didn't bother ourselves to swim due we have to catch the 1800H last trip bound to Daet. after 30 minutes of looking around on this red-brown sand resort (especially on sunset times), we went out and look for a tricycle. we decided to visit the 400-yr old candelaria church on our way home. according to the locals, this church was there saviour during typhoons, floods reached shoulder depth outside while only knee height inside (but the flooring is not that elevated and almost level to outside ground). we spent around 15 minutes there and finally rode another tricycle bound to bato-balani crossing.

van to daet for over an hour ride, from daet to naga for 2 hours van-ride and finally from naga to legazpi for over 2 hours ordinary bus ride. upon arrival, we rent a tricycle to look for a very cheap accommodation and somehow nearby to best viewing the mayon volcano. then, night shots for mayon infront of our lodging.
