DAY 2 SATURDAY:
PUERTO PRINCESA UNDERGROUND RIVER

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range on the northern coast of the island. It is bordered by St. Paul Bay to the north and the Babuyan River to the east. The City Government of Puerto Princesa has managed the National Park since 1992. It is also known as St. Paul's Subterranean River National Park, or St. Paul Underground River. The entrance to the Subterranean River is a short hike from the town of Sabang. Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is one of the 28 finalists for the "New Seven Wonders of Nature" competition.

since there will be approximately over 2 hours of travel time to get to sabang, municipality outside puerto princesa city, we have to wake-up as early as 0500H but we didn't. so we were hoping to catch the 0900H ETD and we did. from downtown, we rode a jeep of san jose signboard bound to the bus terminal. then, there's a mini-bus bound to sabang.

there was an entrance fee of php100 per head and two types of trail to get to the underground river. 1st one is to trek via the forest which most of the tourist spent 1 night to stay there while the other one is to hire a boat which was on my time is php700 for a roundtrip back to port with 6 maximum passenger.

last trip of bus from sabang to downtown is 1700H, we didn't make it so we hire a private tricycle just to get back. we tried to hitch to any vehicle but we failed.
