Bukidnon is considered by Filipinos to be the food basket of Mindanao. It is the major producer of rice and corn in the region. Plantations in the province also produce pineapples, bananas and sugarcane. Its capital is Malaybalay City. The province borders, clockwise starting from the north, Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte, Cotabato, Lanao del Sur, and Lanao del Norte.

DAY THREE:
BUKIDNON

woke up 6am, looked for multicab bound to agora terminal. then upon arrival, looked for a bus bound to bukidnon, signboard was valencia city. departed 715am for php40 fare manolo fortrich destination. i requested the bus conductor to please alight me on this place but he still forgot to notify  the driver so i immediately went down the bus which as far as i know was 10 kms afar from the road crossing. since i'm bad in waiting, i walked on the road going back but it was on very dry weather so why don't i try a new adventure, to hitch-hike. after couple of minutes, there was this 8-wheeler truck of corn stopped and hitched me. this was my 1st time and i'm fortunate that the driver was so kind that he exactly dropped me to that crossing and negotiate to the motorcycle driver on my way going to dahilayan. we've come up to php400 for a round trip back this place. while on the road, the driver pointed where the flying gecko takes place and the famous pineapple plantation of delmonte company.

there's a lot of pineapple trees in dahilayan park. upon arrival, i saw a lot of visitors including the gang of the rafters i joined yesterday. i went to ticket booth and paid php600 all-zips. 1st zip was 320m, i flew using the video mode of my digicam. followed by the 150m no-thrill ride and finally the ultimate 840m longest dual zipline in asia. for the last zip, we rode 1st to a service van going up to the launch tower. in my honest opinion, i think the 820m in camp sabros was more exciter than this due the former didn't use a drag flag to maximize the speed which gives the sensation of fast speed in the air. on the other hand, dahilayan placed drag flag to prevent the speed to go beyond 100kph. so that's it, in less than 1 hour i'm done.

i sneaked to the other park beside which was called forest park but this was only a family picnic park with php50 entrance fee. around 12pm i went back to the junction, rode a bus bound to malaybalay with php60 fare. around 130pm i've made to the junction of monastery of transfiguration, a unique church erected on a hill, shape like a pyramid and overlooking mt. kitanglad. and while walking my way, i've made my 2nd hitch-hike within the day due there was approximately 4km off to main road. just spent some minutes there then decided to go back again via motorcycle back ride (habal-habal) for php30 fare. back to malaybalay terminal with fare cost php100 bound to cagayan de oro city for over 2 hours travel.
